Safelite Repair Safelite Replace what a joke! More like Safelite you Repair after Safelite Replaces! Took my mom's 2010 Toyota Yaris Hatchback in on5/15/2026 at the Vestal NY Shop. No broken glass or cracks, just to remove and replace the rear hatch window because the rear defroster quit working after 16 years. Simple job so I thought. Ricardo assured me they could do it and remember Safelite is the expert. I wasn't asking them to part the Red Sea like Moses, but I should have hired a Plumber probably done a better job. These geniuses smash the window with a hammer instead of removing it! I paid $426. 02 for utter slop; they cleaned up some of it but not all. A few days later this is when I noticed this. There was glass on the back floor, back seat, in the trunk and the hatch. The hatch sounded like a baby rattle, plus there was a leak, water was getting in the trunk. I called Ricardo and told him what had happened on 6/8/2026. I showed him the half of a gallon zip lock bag full of glass I cleaned up. They tested the rear glass they installed for a leak, and nothing leaked. But when I asked about all the glass in the Hatch door that's when the BS started. Customer Service wasn't much better. I called told them what happened. I was told that if their Guys did it they would fix it. Then it went to there is nothing we can do! Great, these are the glass experts, I had enough of their BS. I watched a 20-minute YouTube Video and removed the hatch door and the taillights. I removed all the glass that was in there and replaced everything. After 3 hours of my time fixed the leak problem solved! Either these Guys are incompetent, have no common sense, or just lazy I don't know. But I wouldn't hire them again to clean MY TOILET!
