let's just say it was not a good experience
Review by Jennie B. on 26 Jul 2026 review stating let's just say it was not a good experience I arrived a few minutes before my 9am appt which I confirmed and re confirmed that safe lite could indeed recalibrate the windshield on my car otherwise I would have paid the extra money and gone straight to the dealership. upon arrival safe lite rep Jason said repair could take up to 3 hours. since I live more the 30 minutes away figured best to stay and hope they finished earlier. (two folks i know that recently went in for same service I went for said they were out in less than 2. 5 hours). I wasn't hopeful that I would have that same experience after noticing it took them almost a 1/2 hour before my car was brought in the service area. just lots of employees complaining, management talking about staff and employees freely and loudly so everyone waiting could hear all about Jose calling in sick again, 9x this year so far, 4x in the last 6 weeks. and he using all his PT. and the "crazy" Rumson lady with the Maserati that though she had an at home appt the day before and was frustrated because they sent her replacement windshield back already and she would have to wait until the following week when they shipped it back. and lets not forget about the complaining about the employee who could not lift more than 10 lbs or put his arms over his head "why was he even working?". after 3hours 15 minutes of waiting in a quite dirty waiting area, (floor was dirty looked like it hadn't been swept in weeks, coffee stains and crumbs on all of the tables, and bathroom was disgusting. I won't get into details but gross x 100. ) so at 3 hour 15 minute mark I asked about my car and was rudely told it was going to be a few more minutes. at the 4 hour mark, Jason said they were finishing the recalibration. after 4 Horus 15 minutes the tech comes out and tells me that they could not re calibrate!??!? what ???? sorry to say I lost my cool and confronted the front desk guy, not the new younger guy, (who he said he was training) a fellow who literally answered me in between eating his lunch and chewing, so disgusting , told me sometimes they cannot recalibrate and I would need to go to dealership. I asked why they didn't share this when I called for an appt. since I had asked specifically about them being able to recalibrate and he said they don't tell people they sometimes they cannot finish the job because it only happens " 1 out of 99 times". so frustrated. . . so I had to make an appt with the dealership, more time off of work to get the job completed. the manager Jason was just so annoyed that I was annoyed, seriously Jason, you were the one who checked at 4 hour mark and told me they were almost done. sorry not going to recommend this place to anyone. hey why did I have to give 1 star, they weren't even worth that. and now I have the insurance company on this so I can get some sort of reimbursement for added expenses and to be sure safe lite does not get full amount due since they did not complete the job.
